David was educated at Manchester Polytechnic where he graduated in Polymer Science and Technology as well as becoming a professional member of the then Institute of Materials. During his career he has had a passion for applied technology and has held various roles acting as a link between R&D and polymer users, in such fields as automotive coatings, industrial lamination and latterly thermoplastic elastomers. He believes this is a two-way role, not only enabling R&D to provide what the end-user wants, but also to communicate what is possible to designers and specifiers
